✨ Features

• Notification bell. The notices that used to stack up across the top of the app now sit in one place in the header. Tap any of them to read the full detail. Dismissing one now sticks across every device you sign in on — previously it only cleared on the device you dismissed it on, so anything you'd already dealt with came back on your phone.

🔨 Fixes

• Leave now shows as leave on the calendar. A day you'd marked as leave still displayed as the rostered shift it replaced — an annual leave day on an A8 showed as "A8" in afternoon colours. It now shows the leave code (ANL, SCK, BRV, STL, LWP) in its own colour with no shift times, and leave on an overnight shift no longer spills a phantom entry into the next day. On Call days are labelled too.
• The pay breakdown opens properly on desktop. "View Breakdown" was being cut off behind the Take Home Pay card, hiding most of the detail. It now opens in full, and scrolls if the breakdown is a long one.

🔨 Fixes

• Custom shifts were being counted twice. If you created a custom shift using a code that also exists as a built-in shift (your own M8, for example), that shift was counted twice — inflating your fortnight and pushing it into overtime you never actually worked. Fixed everywhere shifts are read: the shift picker, calendar, shift swap modelling and calendar export. If you were affected, you'll see a one-off notice in the app confirming it's sorted.

• Custom shifts can now be edited and renamed. If you already have shifts saved on the old code, the app asks what you want done with them. Duplicate custom codes are now blocked.

• Browser pop-up alerts replaced with tidier in-app messages throughout.
• Shift Settings on mobile rebuilt — a clearer split between built-in and custom shifts, Start and Finish times paired on one row, and RDO on its own row.
• Consistent rounded corners, keyboard focus outlines and touch feedback across the app.

🔨 Fixes

• Subscribing and managing your billing were both failing after a change on our hosting provider's side. Both are working again.
• If you'd subscribed before and then cancelled, Settings offered you a "Start 7-Day Free Trial" button that could never work — leaving no way to resubscribe. Returning members now go straight to checkout.
• Android: updated to meet Google Play's latest requirements, and ships the resubscribe fix.
• The Android beta interest banner has been removed — we have enough testers. Thanks to everyone who signed up.

🔨 Fixes

• Fixed a sign-in lockout. If you reached the app on an older web address, signing in could fail with a validation error or get stuck retrying. Sign-in now always goes through app.mymeca.nz, and older links redirect there automatically.
• Clearer messages when sign-in doesn't work, and a visible cooldown if you request too many sign-in links in a row instead of silently retrying.
• Android: matching sign-in handling in the app.

• Fixed duplicate subscriptions. If your first payment failed, you could end up raising a second subscription — and once the original overdue invoice cleared, both were live. Members who already have a subscription are now taken to the billing portal rather than a second checkout.

• 2026 NZNO/HNZ Collective Agreement — new pay rates effective 2 March 2026 are now in the calculator. Your pay automatically switches to the 2026 rates once you confirm your employer has paid you on them.
• Backpay estimator — see how much you may be owed in backdated pay since 2 March. Add your shifts in the window and the app calculates the difference between old and new rates per fortnight.
• "What's my backpay" card on the dashboard with a double-confirm before switching your calculator to 2026 rates (locks in your backpay estimate at the time of confirmation).
• FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) setting added to your profile.
• Enrolled Nurses are now eligible for the Shift Coordination Allowance ($24/shift) under the 2026 CA.

• Historic fortnights (pre-2 March 2026) now correctly use the old rates even after you've switched to 2026 rates.

• KiwiSaver minimum rate rose to 3.5% on 1 April 2026. If you were set to 3%, the app moves you to 3.5% automatically and tells you it has. If you're on an IRD-approved temporary reduction, you can set it back in Settings.
• Calendar sync — subscribe to your roster from Google or Apple Calendar using a personal link, so new and changed shifts appear automatically. Previously you had to re-export the file each time.
• PDRP Impact in the Toolbox — see what moving up a PDRP level would actually be worth, for your current fortnight and averaged across the fortnights you've entered.
• Reminder emails before your free trial ends.
